Shipping Coordinator

We have an immediate need for a 1st shift shipping coordinator in Blythewood, SC. Standard hours will be (5-8's) 9:30am-6:00pm. This will start as a temp assignment with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. This role is responsible for executing daily shipping activities, coordinating outbound freight, accurately picking orders, and preparing parts for shipment. This role supports accurate, efficient, and timely warehouse and logistics operations and requires strong attention to detail, safe handling of heavy parts, and experience operating a forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma/GED and valid driver's license as well as pass criminal background check, pre-employment drug test and physical. Additional details below: Essential (Major) Job Functions · Pick parts and materials accurately according to work orders, verifying part numbers and quantities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. · Prepare, package, label, and stage orders for shipment in accordance with company standards and order requirements; verify the accuracy of shipping documents, labels, and packing lists.\ · Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload heavy parts, maintaining product condition and shipment accuracy and following all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures. · Support daily warehouse operations, including inventory control counts and stock replenishment, while meeting required deadlines. · Coordinate daily outbound shipments, including less-than-truckload (LTL), freight, parcel, and customer pickups; communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment and order fulfillment. · Maintain accurate shipping logs, inventory records, and shipment tracking to support efficient logistics operations. Job Specifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: 1–3 years of shipping or logistics coordination experience, including warehouse order picking and packing. Specialized Skills: · Ability to lift and move heavy parts up to company-required limits. · Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and communication skills. · Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and order handling procedures. · Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced warehouse environment and meet deadlines. Certifications: Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts.
