Stauff CorporationShipping Coordinator Location: Waldwick, NJ Department: Warehouse Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Position Summary -The Shipping Coordinator is a hands-on, floor-based role responsible for supporting daily shipping and warehouse operations to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, staged, and shipped accurately and on time. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and shipping team, this position helps maintain an efficient workflow, supports operational priorities, and ensures customer delivery expectations are met. In addition to daily shipping responsibilities, the Shipping Coordinator serves as a backup resource for the ASN Coordinator, Production Planner, and Logistics Clerk during periods of high workload, vacations, and absences. This role also supports parcel shipping activities utilizing UPS and FedEx systems to ensure timely order fulfillment and uninterrupted customer service. Key Responsibilities Support daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, staged, and shipped accurately and on schedule. Assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating shipping activities and overseeing the efficient distribution of goods to customers. Maintain high levels of order accuracy and support on-time delivery performance. Verify order quantities, product identification, packaging requirements, and shipment readiness before shipment. Collaborate with inventory and warehouse personnel to resolve discrepancies, shortages, and fulfillment issues. Support inventory replenishment activities and daily cycle count processes. Prioritize shipping activities to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments. Monitor outbound order flow and communicate potential delays or issues to the appropriate departments. Ensure products are packaged and prepared according to customer specifications and company standards. Assist with palletizing, staging, loading, and preparing shipments for carrier pickup. Process parcel shipments using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and related shipping systems. Coordinate daily order fulfillment plans with the Production/Shipping Planner to ensure smooth operations and timely shipments. Maintain shipping records, documentation, and tracking information. Ensure material handling equipment is safe, operational, and properly maintained. Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while adhering to company policies and OSHA regulations. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, waste reduction, 5S implementation, and workplace safety enhancements. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for operational improvement. Assist with quality investigations and corrective actions while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and procedures. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution experience. Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems. Experience using UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
