Shipping Clerk-
Kenwal SteelResponsibility: Responsible for the movement of outbound freight from Kenwal. Schedules trucks based on team oriented approach working with Inside Sales and Production. Essential Functions/Resource Provision: 1. Working with carriers to insure appointments are kept. 2. Confirm that trucks have correct pick up number, trailer number, and destination before entering the building. 3. Generates pick sheets to ensure correct material is pulled and staged in a timely manner 4. Working with Production and Inside Sales to maximize shipments. 5. Night contact for plant personnel regarding traffic issues. 6. Ensure that drivers comply with Kenwal’s Safety and PPE rules. One year experience in shipping related functions. 3. Must be able to work effectively with internal employees as well as trucking company employees. 4. Must consistently operate with high integrity, confidentiality, and honesty. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Experience in shipping steel products. 2. Proficient computer skills.
