Shipping Clerk

Job Overview As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll keep orders moving accurately and on schedule. You’ll coordinate shipping and receiving, update records, and support warehouse operations from picking and packing through dispatch. Your work will help connect inventory, warehouse distribution, and shipping logistics while delivering responsive customer service. Responsibilities Process incoming and outgoing shipments, verify order details, and prepare shipping documents in line with trade compliance requirements and international trade regulations. Pick, pack, package, stock, and stage orders; use an order picker, pallet jack, or forklift when authorized and trained. Record shipment and inventory activity through a warehouse management system, inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, material requirements planning (MRP) tools, or AS400. Load and unload goods, reconcile discrepancies, and support inventory management and order fulfillment. Respond to shipping inquiries, apply basic math, and use data entry and Microsoft Office tools to maintain accurate records. Requirements Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a customer service mindset. Familiarity with shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, warehouse distribution, logistics, and shipping logistics; warehouse experience is preferred. Experience with inventory management and data entry; familiarity with warehouse management systems, inventory management software, ERP systems, MRP, or AS400 is an asset. Ability to perform picking and packing, order picking, stocking, packaging, and load-and-unload tasks safely. Forklift or order picker experience and pallet jack familiarity are preferred; operate equipment only with required authorization and training.
