Shipping Associate
KUS AmericasSummary The Shipping Associate prepares products for shipment by verifying the items provided for packing, selecting approved packaging, labeling and staging completed orders. This role follows customer instructions and reports discrepancies so shipments can be released accurately, safely and on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive assigned material and shipping paperwork; compare part numbers and quantities with the approved order or delivery and report any differences before packing. Pack parcel and freight orders using approved materials, methods and customer specific instructions; protect product during handling and transit. Build, wrap and label pallets as required; verify visible shipment identification against the approved shipping records. Record package counts, dimensions and weights accurately and provide the information to the Shipping Order Processor or authorized SAP user. Stage completed shipments in the designated location by ship date and carrier while maintaining order identification and traceability. Perform required pre-shipment checks of packaging, labels, quantities and condition; escalate damage, shortages and unclear instructions. Assist with loading and carrier handoff as trained and directed; use only equipment for which authorization has been granted. Maintain an organized work area, follow safe lifting and material handling practices, and report hazards or quality concerns promptly. Support inventory checks, rework or continuous improvement tasks related to shipping when assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Shipping, packing or warehouse experience preferred; training may be provided. Ability to read part numbers, quantities, labels and shipping instructions accurately. Ability to measure, weigh and record shipment details and follow written procedures. Ability to work safely, communicate discrepancies and meet daily priorities. Experience with scanners, basic computer systems or warehouse equipment preferred. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work Environment: Warehouse and loading dock environment with moving equipment, vehicle traffic, varying noise and seasonal temperature changes. Required protective equipment and safety practices apply. Additional Information: The Team Lead provides daily direction; personnel supervision, order changes and final exception decisions remain with authorized roles.
