Name: Shipping Assistant Location: 5323 Highway Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32254 Position Summary: Undertakes the support, the best organization and actively participates in all the processes of the Shipping Department in order to have smooth operation and proper execution of all required export/Local procedures of the products. Essential Functions: Preparation of reports and analysis of transport companies' price lists Control and recording of all shipping costs in the system, analysis of shipments and data Participate in the management of all shipments, for proper customer service and proper pricing Participation in the issuance of all shipping documents (shipping notes, invoices, credit) and customs documents Communication with freight forwarders and customs brokers during the whole procedure of the shipment (export or local) Uploading of Transportation expenses inside ERP system Determines shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Receives orders from the Sales Department and confers with the warehouse, to coordinate for the timely and safe delivery to the clients. Provide Transport Costs to the Sales department by evaluating the data from our ERP system. Support warehouse operations when necessary, assisting in inventory management, order preparation, and ensuring smooth logistics flow. Position Qualifications: Educational background in Maritime or Financial studies or Logistics, Shipping experience regarding Import or Export procedure, preferably 1 or 2 years.
