Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Position : Shipping & Receiving Specialist Reports To : Stock Room Manager Shift : 9/80 (7am-4:30pm Mon-Thu, 7am-330pm Fri / Every other Fri off) Essential Job Functions Perform all activities related to Shipping and Receiving, as well as tracking inventory and stock. Maintain detailed and accurate records of changes in inventory. Accurately process and document all incoming shipments. Will also work within stock room as needed. Must have Forklift Experience. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, organized, have good communication skills, and be able to multi-task. Specific duties: Manage the shipping of all daily customer orders, ensuring correct packaging, accurate carrier selection and labeling, and the inclusion of correct inserts. Process all incoming inventory shipments by verifying contents, inspecting order for damage, and confirming product quality and specifications. Barcode and label all incoming shipments and received inventory items accurately before placement into stock locations Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels through continuous cycle counting, reconciliation of differences, and proper warehouse organization. Reconcile discrepancies Kit parts to work orders Inspect and receive parts returning to stock from work orders Work with Quality and Purchasing departments to resolve procurement and quality issues Update database with incoming and outgoing products Inspect returned merchandise (RMA) Report inventory levels, discrepancies and issues Minimum Requirements/Qualifications 2 years in a Shipping / Receiving position (preferably within the manufacturing industry) 2+ years experience on Forklift Punctual, reliable, and highly organized High School Diploma or equivalent Technical proficiency with a proven ability to quickly learn and efficiently operate computers Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time Attention to detail to identify defective products Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): Please indicate your desired salary for this position (ie. $16.00 per hour) Experience: Forklift: 1 year (Required) Shipping & receiving: 1 year (Preferred) Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Titusville, FL 32796 (Required) Work Location: In person
