Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Position Type: Temporary (Project-Based) Project Duration: This is a temporary position expected to last through the end of the year , potentially longer, depending on production needs. Schedule: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday * Overtime may be available based on production needs* *40 hour weeks expected, but may be less depending on client needs/available work* Job Description We are currently hiring a Foundry Shipping & Receiving Specialist for our busy metal casting facility. This is a hands-on, physical position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Duties Manage daily shipping and receiving operations for the foundry. Receive, inspect, organize, and track incoming packages, materials, and shipments. Unload trucks and freight using a forklift and safely move/stage materials. Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documents. Complete and maintain accurate shipping/receiving paperwork, forms, and logs. Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments. Prepare, label, document, and stage outgoing shipments for pickup. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area. Follow all company safety procedures and forklift/material-handling guidelines. Perform other general foundry and production duties as assigned Requirements Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and move packages/materials as required. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift Prior shipping and receiving experience required. Active, current forklift certification required prior to applying (Expired certifications will not be accepted) Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or foundry experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift and unload trucks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and shipment records. Ability to read packing slips, shipping documents, labels, and other basic documentation. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple shipments. Reliable attendance and ability to follow safety procedures. Work Environment This is a foundry environment , and we believe in being upfront about what the job involves so you can decide if it's the right fit.
