Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where your expertise will drive the seamless flow of goods through our warehouse operations. In this vital role, you will coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. Your proactive approach will support inventory management, enhance order fulfillment, and uphold trade compliance standards. Duties Manage incoming shipments by verifying delivery documentation and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies Use warehouse management systems and inventory management software to accurately record stock levels and update data entry logs Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload freight safely and efficiently Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to order specifications Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule deliveries and pickups, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and shipping logistics standards Maintain organized stock areas through stocking, inventory management, and regular cycle counts Assist with order fulfillment processes using ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP software to optimize warehouse distribution workflows Ensure all shipping & receiving activities adhere to trade compliance policies and safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams regarding shipment status or issues Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or inventory management roles Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MRP platforms Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is a plus Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to weights or quantities, and order processing Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is advantageous Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams This role offers an engaging environment where your contributions directly impact our operational success.
