Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by coordinating incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting timely order fulfillment. You’ll use warehouse management systems and inventory management software to track products, process data, and support warehouse distribution, e-commerce, and shipping logistics. Your impact: Accurate receiving and order processing help customers and internal teams get the right products where they need to be. Duties Receive, inspect, and record shipments; compare deliveries with purchase orders and shipping documents, and report discrepancies. Pick, pack, label, and stage orders; support stocking, packaging, and order fulfillment. Load and unload freight using equipment such as a pallet jack, order picker, or forklift, following safe operating procedures. Update inventory and shipment records using a warehouse management system, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or material requirements planning (MRP) tools; use an RF scanner and perform accurate data entry. Support trade compliance by following applicable international trade regulations and shipping procedures; assist with customer service and resolve routine shipment questions. Experience Warehouse experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or order picking is helpful. Familiarity with inventory management, warehouse distribution, shipping logistics, and inventory management software is preferred. Basic math skills and comfort using Microsoft Office are required for checking quantities and maintaining records. Experience with forklift operation, pallet jacks, order pickers, RF scanners, ERP systems, MRP, or AS400 is an asset; equipment use must follow applicable safety requirements.
