Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods through accurate shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination of inventory, compliance with shipping regulations, and timely order fulfillment. Duties Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management software and ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP platforms Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during shipping processes Organize stock in designated warehouse areas, perform stock counts, and update inventory management software regularly Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping issues, provide tracking updates, and support order fulfillment needs Skills Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms like AS400 or MRP systems Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, trade compliance, and international trade regulations Experience with warehouse operations including stocking, order picking & packing, load & unload procedures Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external carriers Join us as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to play a vital role in delivering excellence in logistics operations.
