Shipping Clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties Prepare and verify shipping documents using warehouse management systems and inventory management software to ensure accuracy and compliance. Pick, pack, and label orders efficiently using RF scanners, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Load and unload trucks safely with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling tools while adhering to safety protocols. Coordinate shipping logistics for domestic and international trade shipments in accordance with trade compliance and international trade regulations. Maintain accurate data entry records for all shipments, inventory movements, and order fulfillment activities. Monitor stock levels using ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software to facilitate timely replenishment and stocking. Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, order picking, packaging, and distribution processes. Ensure all shipments meet quality standards by inspecting packaging integrity and verifying order accuracy before dispatching. Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on shipment status and resolving any issues related to shipping & receiving. Experience Previous experience working in a warehouse environment with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and distribution processes. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Familiarity with shipping logistics, order fulfillment procedures, and trade compliance regulations for international trade. Ability to operate forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely; forklift certification is preferred. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately during packing and shipping tasks. Strong data entry skills combined with excellent attention to detail to ensure precise record-keeping. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external partners.
