Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using inventory management software and RF scanners. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately for delivery or transfer. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload goods safely and efficiently. Maintain precise records of all transactions through data entry in warehouse management systems. Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Manage stock levels by performing regular inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to support warehouse distribution goals. Support warehouse operations by organizing storage areas, stocking shelves, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during all activities. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in inventory management software. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including reach trucks), pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely. Drive straight truck (no CDL needed) and pickup with a dump trailer. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry, order picking, packing, and inventory control. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities required for shipping logistics. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members, carriers, and vendors. Physical ability to lift heavy items (at least 50#) regularly and stand for extended periods during shift hours.
