Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Duties Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities, and recording receipt details using warehouse management systems. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting products through order picking and order fulfillment procedures, then packaging items securely for transit. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently. Maintain accurate stock levels by organizing inventory, and conducting regular cycle counts using warehouse distribution techniques. Assist with order picking and packing processes for orders, ensuring timely dispatch while adhering to quality standards. Support activities by coordinating load & unload operations and managing shipping & receiving documentation. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and stock management. Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks and pallet jacks is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software. Strong basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to order fulfillment. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory control. Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution environments is a plus.
