Position Description Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator tracks all incoming and outgoing goods at the facility, making sure shipments are accurate and delivered on time. He or she makes sure that received items get to the people who ordered them. The successful person will be a results-oriented individual who is able to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization and be a creative problem solver. They are able to manage first shift in the Shipping Manager’s absence. Primary Responsibilities include: Responsible for unloading trucks, accepting deliveries, unpacking containers and ensuring material is delivered to proper location Ensure packing lists for incoming material are checked for accurate information including part counts, purchase order and pertinent information Monitor all miscellaneous shipping paperwork as needed; ensures each part and packaging type has a location and is properly labeled Achieves a high level of Product/Part knowledge, as well as an awareness of supplier operations as they relate to the AOC Metal Works. Actively participates in plant physical inventory as required Confirms record integrity through cycle count, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions for WIP and Finished Goods item Responsible for ensuring warehouse is organized and orderly on a daily basis Must be able to work without close supervision; able to understand what needs to be done, and take required actions Follows safety rules and procedures, especially relating to PPE(personal protective equipment) standards Other tasks that may be asked of you in the course of the day Adheres to all company policies and procedures Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required for Position: Understanding of manufacturing processes and bills of material Experience in a fast-paced production environment Previous forklift driving experience is required Experience with ERP and scheduling systems (MieTrack a Plus) Experience in metal fabrication a plus Able to work productively in an environment that is not climate controlled Ability to work independently and collaboratively; supportive of a team-oriented environment Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Strong analytical & mathematical skills Good verbal and written communication skills High School Diploma/ GED
