Role Description The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Maumee, OH. This role is responsible for accurately receiving incoming materials, verifying documentation, and inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies. The clerk prepares outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and staging orders, and may use pallet jacks or other material handling equipment to move goods safely. Daily tasks include maintaining inventory records, assisting with cycle counts, organizing storage areas, and coordinating with internal teams and carriers to ensure timely deliveries. The role also involves completing shipping and receiving documentation, following safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement in warehouse operations. Qualifications Strong skills in Shipping & Receiving, including verifying, processing, and tracking incoming and outgoing shipments. Ability to perform Packing tasks efficiently and safely, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and protection of materials. Experience using material handling tools such as a Pallet Jack and working safely in a warehouse or industrial environment. Knowledge of Inventory Control practices, including maintaining accurate records, conducting counts, and organizing stock. Effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members, carriers, and other departments, and to document processes clearly. High attention to detail, basic math and computer skills (e.g., ERP or warehouse management systems), and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials for extended periods, following safety guidelines; prior experience in manufacturing or distribution is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior shipping and receiving or warehouse experience is an advantage.
