Role Purpose: Responsible for executing daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials and finished products. This role includes receiving and verifying incoming materials, preparing domestic and international shipments, and ensuring proper packaging and documentation. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk works closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Customer Service to support on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and overall manufacturing operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Receive incoming materials, components, supplies, and returns; verify quantities, part numbers, packaging condition, and accompanying documentation against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving requirements. Identify and communicate discrepancies, damaged material, missing documentation, and nonconforming receipts to Purchasing, Quality, and other appropriate personnel for timely resolution. Perform accurate receiving, inventory movement, issue, transfer, in the ERP system, maintaining complete and traceable records. Prepare finished goods, materials, and customer orders for shipment using appropriate packaging, labels, carrier requirements, and handling methods. Process domestic and international shipments through UPS, FedEx, and other approved carriers. Maintain inventory accuracy through organized material storage, transaction discipline, and prompt reporting of variances. Coordinate material availability and shipment priorities with Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and other internal teams to support on-time delivery. Maintain orderly receiving, stockroom, staging, and shipping areas in accordance with safety, housekeeping, and material-handling requirements. Use appropriate equipment and safe work practices when moving, lifting, storing, and packaging material. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED. Minimum of 2+ years of related experience. Solid experience with Word and Excel required. SyteLine and/or ERP system experience preferred.
