ShippingReceiving Assistant Reports To: ShippingReceiving Lead FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: WIXOM, MI Full-time: M-F 7-3:30pm overtime and weekends may be required due to the needs of the business. $20.00 per hour Position Summary The ShippingReceiving Assistant supports the daily flow of materials and finished goods by receiving incoming shipments, verifying inventory, preparing outbound orders, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely shipment processing, and adherence to company safety standards. Essential DutiesResponsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials. Prepare, package, and stage products for outgoing shipments. Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment. Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records. Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely. Keep warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Forklift experience or certification preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
