Summary Alkon Corporation is a leading company in the industry, known for our commitment to quality and excellence in manufacturing. We are currently seeking a shipping packer. The Packer is responsible for inspecting, packaging, and preparing fittings and related products for shipment. This role ensures accuracy, quality, and efficiency in all packing and shipping activities to meet daily customer order requirements. Essential Functions · Perform final inspection of fittings received from Assembly prior to bagging. · Operate automatic bagging equipment and enter product part numbers into the bagger system. · Verify counts and part accuracy for all bagged items. · Package and box customer orders accurately using WiSys system procedures. · Conduct final checks to ensure orders match customer specifications before shipment. · Process shipments through UPS and attach appropriate shipping labels. · Assist with special packaging or pallet shipments for truck deliveries. · Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards. · Perform work efficiently to ensure all customer orders are shipped on time. Requirements Previous experience in assembly work or a related field is preferred. STRONG computer skills, including familiarity with software for printing labels and generating documents. Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining product quality and accuracy. Strong organizational skills to manage work orders and prioritize tasks. Effective communication skills to collaborate within the team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be loud at times. Hearing protection is required in designated areas and available to all employees. Physical Demands Must be able to lift and carry minimum 35 pounds of material throughout the shift Must be able to stand for long periods of time, including up to 8 hours Manual skills and ability to handle small tools and equipment Regularly required to communicate and work as a team Hours of Operation Normal business hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm. However, hours may vary depending on shift needs.
