Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology to track materials accurately. Perform order picking with precision to fulfill shipping requests efficiently while maintaining stock integrity. Load and unload goods from trucks following OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation; report maintenance needs promptly. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipment contents against documentation and preparing items for distribution. Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing storage areas, conducting manual handling tasks, and ensuring heavy lifting is performed safely. Maintain accurate records of inbound/outbound shipments, inventory levels, and safety checks in compliance with warehouse procedures. Follow all safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and promote a safe working atmosphere for all team members. Experience Proven experience operating forklift trucks Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and heavy equipment operation. Experience in shipping & receiving procedures along with manual handling techniques for heavy materials. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for inventory counts and order accuracy. Prior warehouse experience demonstrating proficiency in materials handling equipment operation is highly preferred.
