Shipper/Receiver Team Lead (Day Shift)

We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry. QUALIFICATIONS Education : High School Diploma. Tow motor operator certification. Knowledge & Skills: The incumbent must be competent in driving a tow motor. The position must have good knowledge of the MRP system. They must have experience leading teams, with a background in first level supervision, knowledge of creating shipping documentation, and good working knowledge of labelling and customs requirements Communication Skills Good oral and written communication skills are required in order to take follow work instruction, take direction from his/her Supervisor and discuss any problems impeding job performance, and normal technical/business communication. Bring issues to the forefront and develop solutions for Management review. Experience: At least five years of experience shipping and receiving in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES Complete and delegate departmental work according to established instructions and work schedules, including shipping, receiving, material handling, storage, and staging activities. Load, unload, move, and handle products, raw materials, and other materials using appropriate material handling methods and equipment. Prepare manufactured production parts and subcontracted parts for shipment, including weighing, packing, and preparing materials for transportation. Load trucks in compliance with applicable weight requirements, regulations, and shipping procedures. Provide production with the correct dunnage and sufficient material inputs to support production requirements. Unload incoming materials and deliveries and move materials to designated storage or production areas. Visually inspect, weigh, and check incoming materials and report any damage to the Supervisor. Notify Quality when receiving inspection is required. Receive incoming materials and deliveries and accurately enter receiving information into SAP. Organize, store, and stage raw materials in designated areas in accordance with company policies, safety procedures, and ODC requirements. Maintain warehouse organization and material storage areas, including materials, bins, racking, and totes, to support efficient material handling and retrieval. Complete required shipping and receiving paperwork and prepare shipping documents, including customs documentation, in accordance with customer requirements. Coordinate and provide training to team members across the assigned shift on applicable shipping, receiving, material handling, and warehouse procedures. Lead Drivers on the assigned shift, including co-leading the Night Shift in collaboration with the Afternoon/Day Shift Team Leader, Logistics Coordinator, Supervisor, and Director.
