Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator

Applicants need to be willing to learn new skills and take on new duties. WHAT WE OFFER: Competitive wages starting at $23.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience. Excellent benefits package with shared premiums after completing a three month probationary period; Stable schedule, full-time hours (40 per week); We provide company shirts so you don’t have to worry about what to wear in the morning or getting your favorite shirt dirty; A great team environment; THE POSITION: Reporting directly to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will work 40 hours a week with the occasional overtime. The current hours of work are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday at our Dease Road location in Rutland. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing the dock for receiving incoming product or for shipping outgoing product; Perform daily equipment inspections; Using a counterbalanced forklift to unload and load trucks daily; Matching product with inbound documentation or shipping orders; Verifying and inspecting received product; Using the appropriate equipment, move the received product to its appropriate destination in the warehouse in a timely manner and; Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of three years of shipping and receiving experience preferably in a distribution warehouse; Demonstrated ability to operate a counter-balanced forklift and powered pallet jack; Able to lift 50 lbs on a repetitive basis; Adept use of computers and using warehouse management software; Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills; Good customer service and communication skills; Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently; and Excellent work ethic, accountability and dependability.
