Shipper/Receiver

About Powerent Powerent specializes in the rental, calibration, and sales of electrical and instrumentation test equipment. We serve customers across North America who depend on us to deliver accurate, reliable equipment when they need it. We’re looking for a full-time Shipper/Receiver to join our Edmonton team. This is a hands-on role preparing equipment shipments, receiving returns, and keeping our shipping and receiving area organized. You’ll work closely with our rental and service teams to make sure equipment and accessories get to the right place, on time and in good condition. Key Responsibilities Prepare, pack, and label equipment for shipment, ensuring cases and contents are secure and protected. Check equipment, accessories, and quantities against rental agreements and packing lists. Arrange courier and freight pickups, prepare shipping documents, and record tracking information. Receive incoming shipments and rental returns, checking for damage, missing items, and discrepancies. Record incoming and outgoing equipment in our internal systems. Coordinate with the rental and service teams to prioritize shipments and route returned equipment for inspection. Assist customers and drivers with pickups, drop-offs, loading, and unloading. Complete local equipment deliveries and pickups when required. Maintain an organized shipping area, equipment storage, and packing supplies. Follow safe lifting, handling, and workplace procedures. Qualifications Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities. Comfortable using computers, email, and shipping software, with a willingness to learn new systems. Clear communication skills and a helpful, professional approach with customers and coworkers. Comfortable handling equipment cases and performing regular lifting, loading, and unloading safely. Valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Familiarity with electrical equipment or instrumentation is an asset.
