Key Responsibilities Service Writing & Customer Service: Answer incoming phone calls, greet customers, diagnose service needs, write up accurate work orders, and provide clear timeline estimates. Rental Advice & Coordination: Assist rental clients by recommending the right Bobcat equipment and attachments for their specific projects; handle rental agreements and check-ins/check-outs. Parts Inventory Management: Monitor and track parts stock levels, order parts from suppliers, organize inventory, and ensure technicians have the components they need. Minor Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic, light maintenance tasks on Bobcat machinery and rental units (e.g., checking/fluid top-offs, greasing pivot points, changing air filters, replacing minor bulbs or fuses, and washing/detailing equipment). Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate service records, process warranties, and handle billing or payments for service and rental transactions. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a service writer, service advisor, or parts counter representative (heavy equipment, automotive, or agricultural experience preferred). Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with Bobcat skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, or similar compact construction equipment is highly preferred. Mechanical Aptitude: Basic hands-on knowledge of tools and light machinery maintenance. Communication Skills: Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to explain technical terms clearly to everyday customers. Organization: Strong multi-tasking abilities with experience using computer software for inventory tracking, point-of-sale (POS), or scheduling. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in both an office environment and an equipment yard/shop. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
