Service and Leasing Operations Lead

Overview Atlantic Utility Trailer Sales, Inc. is seeking an organized, customer-focused Service and Leasing Operations Lead to oversee daily shop operations and coordinate trailer leasing and inventory at our North Brunswick location. You will keep jobs moving from scheduling and dispatch through completion and accurate invoicing, communicate with customers, and maintain reliable inventory records for trailer sales and leasing. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and can balance customer needs with shop priorities. Responsibilities Shop Operations and Dispatch Coordinate daily shop schedules, dispatch jobs, and adjust priorities based on workload, trailer availability, and customer deadlines. Invoicing and Documentation Review completed work orders for accurate labor, parts, approved charges, and supporting documentation. Work with shop and office staff to resolve discrepancies before invoices are issued. Ensure service work and leasing activity are invoiced promptly and correctly. Help resolve customer billing questions. Leasing and Customer Communication Coordinate trailer availability, reservations, lease paperwork, pickups, and returns. Track lease dates, extensions, returns, and service needs. Keep customers informed about job status, completion timing, trailer availability, and changes. Address customer concerns professionally and coordinate timely solutions. Trailer Inventory Maintain accurate records of trailers available for sale or lease, on lease, reserved, sold, or awaiting service. Track trailer identification numbers, locations, condition, and readiness. Reconcile inventory records with trailers physically in the yard and shop. Coordinate with sales and service staff to prepare trailers for customer delivery. Provide management with updates on inventory availability, open jobs, and operational issues. Work with technicians and other staff to monitor progress, resolve delays, and keep jobs moving. Ensure work orders clearly document requested services, customer approvals, and completed work. Support a safe, organized shop and yard. Requirements Experience in service operations, shop coordination, dispatch, equipment rental or leasing, fleet operations, or a related field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with work orders, invoices, leasing records, and inventory. Clear communication skills and a professional, responsive approach to customer service. Ability to coordinate staff, manage competing priorities, and follow issues through to resolution. Comfort using email, spreadsheets, and service, billing, or inventory management systems. Practical problem-solving skills and accountability for daily results. Experience with commercial trailers, transportation equipment, repair shops, or equipment leasing is preferred. Prior team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
