Through our distribution facilities in both the United States and Canada, we strive to meet our goal of exceptional service and “delivering the parts our customers need, when they need them.” The Opportunity: HTF is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join its purchasing team. As a Senior Purchasing Analyst, you will have the opportunity to manage and maintain inventory, implement process improvement, negotiate pricing, and manage relationships with key suppliers. The ideal candidate will handle multiple responsibilities while working in a fast-paced environment, serving in a lead or senior capacity within the Purchasing Department. The ability to perform well in dynamic, “customer first” environment is key to success in this role. This position reports to the Director of Purchasing. Duties and Responsibilities: · Manage inventory across multiple locations. · Execute daily procurement activities, including purchase order creation, order placement, lead time verification, pricing validation, order acknowledgment review, rescheduling, and supplier follow-up. · Support procurement strategies aligned with quality, cost, delivery, and inventory objectives. · Build and maintain supplier relationships and participate in pricing, sourcing, and contract discussions. · Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, reliability, responsiveness, and compliance. · Identify and support the mitigation of supplier and supply chain risks. · Partner with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing requirements. · Investigate and resolve purchasing, supplier, inventory, receiving, and invoice-related issues. · Track, analyze, and report purchasing metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, delivery performance, and inventory trends. · Guide, train, and assist Purchasing Analysts as needed · Work on special projects. · Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier performance. · Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Key Competencies: · Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. · Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. · Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively. · Possess an outgoing, friendly and positive demeanor. · Possess a strong, analytical mindset and attention to detail. · Professionalism, with a focus on customer service, organization, and being an overall team player. Education and Qualifications: · Minimum of 5 years of relevant purchasing experience required. · Minimum of 2+ years in the distribution or manufacturing is preferred. · Ability to handle a high volume of inbound requests. · Exceptional time management skills. · Required: High School Diploma or GED. · Experience working with Epicor Prophet 21 or similar distribution ERP system preferred. · Pass a pre-employment background check.
