Pay Range $81,600.00-$112,200.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Purchaser to play a key role in supporting the success of our manufacturing facility in Scottsboro, AL. In this position, you’ll take ownership of the procurement and availability of raw materials, packaging, MRO materials, and plant services while helping ensure our manufacturing operations have what they need to run efficiently and without interruption. You’ll manage approximately $1M to $10M in annual raw material, packaging, and MRO spend , oversee local service contracts, and partner with plant leadership, Supply Chain, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities that improve cost, reliability, and overall plant performance. Your Day to Day: Ensure a reliable, uninterrupted, and sustainable supply of raw materials to support plant operations. Manage plant inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, and MRO materials while balancing availability, cost, and operational needs. Lead purchasing activities in alignment with corporate global procurement practices and procedures, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for goods and services. Partner with corporate Supply Chain and Sourcing teams on strategic sourcing initiatives and other procurement projects. Manage approximately $1M to $10M in annual raw material, packaging, and MRO spend , along with local service contracts. Identify and lead cost-reduction initiatives and develop monthly scorecard metrics to communicate progress and results to senior leadership. Conduct supplier workshops to uncover annual cost-saving opportunities, achieve established cost-reduction goals, and help maintain a competitive position. Develop and implement material strategies that support continuous manufacturing operations and long-term supply reliability. Build productive relationships with suppliers and serve as a key liaison between the plant, Supply Chain Sourcing Managers, and business units. Lead and support cross-functional projects to identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers. Identify alternative materials, cost-efficient processes, and opportunities to reduce physical inventory. Support the elimination of obsolete equipment and contribute to initiatives related to new product development. Perform other related duties as assigned. What You Bring to the Team: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of purchasing, plant buying, sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment/company. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
