Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking a skilled Senior Procurement. This role is responsible for leading complex procurement initiatives, managing high-value bids, and advising departments on sourcing strategies to deliver optimal value for the community. Job Duties: Lead construction bids and other high-dollar solicitations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures Coordinate the development and review of detailed scopes of work and evaluation criteria Negotiate contract terms, including pricing and scope, to maximize value and minimize risk Oversee the evaluation process, analyzing complex bids and financial information Serve as a strategic advisor to departments on procurement methods and sourcing strategies Monitor supplier performance and maintain reports supporting procurement strategy and portfolio management Ensure fair and transparent bidding processes, responding to vendor inquiries and managing public bid events Collaborate with legal and risk teams to establish appropriate contract terms and insurance requirements Skills & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field 10+ years of end-to-end procurement experience in public or private sectors Deep understanding of RFP/RFQ processes, bid management, scope development, and strategic sourcing Proven negotiation skills and ability to operate in ambiguous, evolving environments Experience managing high-value procurements ($1M and above) Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to command the room Familiarity with procurement software, including bid platforms Demonstrated change management and cultural transformation experience Desired: Experience in government procurement and building procurement functions from the ground up Automotive or advanced manufacturing background Familiarity with public sector processes and cross-sector collaboration Strong analytical mindset and strategic acumen Resilience and self-sufficiency in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Blue Chip Talent is an award-winning and woman-owned talent solutions provider based out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
