About the Role:

This position works on site at our Marana AZ office.  The Senior Logistics Manager will lead and oversee the entire logistics and supply chain operations within the organization, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and services. This role is pivotal in developing strategic plans to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, and operations teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives. They will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs. Ultimately, the Senior Logistics Manager will drive operational excellence and support the company’s growth by ensuring timely delivery and high customer satisfaction across all logistics functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
  • Proven experience managing logistics teams and complex supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP).
  • Experience working within the 'Other Services' industry sector or similar service-oriented environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation or automation projects in logistics.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and green logistics initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage day-to-day logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and supervisors to achieve performance targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed reports to inform senior leadership decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation and logistics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance logistics operations.

The Senior Logistics Manager will utilize strong analytical and strategic planning skills daily to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs. Leadership and communication skills are essential for managing teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems enables the manager to monitor operations, analyze data, and generate actionable insights. Negotiation skills are critical when working with vendors and carriers to secure favorable terms and maintain service quality. Additionally, problem-solving abilities are frequently applied to address operational challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance overall logistics performance.
