(DTI) is an international leader in the design and manufacture of high-power electrical equipment. Our exceptional engineers and scientists collaborate to develop the world’s most powerful radar transmitters, pulsed power units for state-of-the-art processing in food, energy and wastewater, and advanced R&D for national laboratories. DTI seeks a Senior Buyer to join its growing, high-technology business. Our work involves the design, fabrication, construction, installation and testing of specialized, high-power electrical equipment for industrial and government applications. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to work in a challenging, innovative technical organization based in Bedford, Massachusetts. ______________________________________________________________________________ Responsibilities: Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering staff Obtain critical materials, components, equipment and services Complete-check requisitions, obtain and examine quotes, and make awards Evaluate and negotiate vendor terms and pricing Monitor vendor performance and reliability, and develop new supply sources when vendors are inadequate Control and update pricing, cost and schedules Maintain compliance documents for the organization for internal and external audits Maintain professional supplier relationships Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with five plus years’ related experience Familiarity with purchasing and requisition systems, ideally with Deltek-Costpoint Excellent attention to detail for ordering supplies, components, etc. Vendor management skills to maintain excellent working relationships Proven follow-through skills to facilitate the receipt of on-time shipments Pro-active and self-motived individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills U.S. Person Compensation: Salary range: $100,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience Excellent benefits including health, dental, life, and disability insurance; 401K Plan, tuition reimbursement; paid holiday, sick leave and vacation days accruing upon hire DTI is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Female / Male / Disabled / Veteran DTI makes reasonable accommodation(s) for persons with disabilities Visit “Career Opportunities” on our website at www.divtecs.com to learn more and apply
