Senior Accountant – Manufacturing (Cost & Inventory Accounting)

PRC Composites, a 50+ year American manufacturer of composite containers, sheet molding compound and molded components for Aerospace, Defense and Commercial customers, is hiring a Senior Accountant in Ontario, CA. At a glance $80,000–$90,000 base + benefits Reports to the Head of Finance; small finance team On-site Mon–Thu in Ontario, remote Fridays Hands-on: month-end close, inventory/cost accounting, AR, payroll backup, audit support Responsibilities Month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, GL maintenance and account reconciliations Financial statements, supporting schedules and monthly management reporting packages Inventory accounting: roll-forwards, standard costs, sub-ledger to GL reconciliation, physical inventory and cycle counts Cost accounting: product/job costing, cost absorption, variance analysis, product profitability Accounts receivable: invoicing, cash application, collections, credit and aging, billing compliance Payroll backup: payroll journal entries, payroll reconciliations, review of 941/DE 9/DE 9C/W-2 filings Fixed assets and depreciation External audit liaison (financial statement and 401(k) audits); tax and government reporting support Requirements Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business or related 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting, manufacturing or industrial) U.S. GAAP, close, GL, reconciliations, financial statements Standard costing, job costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing overhead, variance analysis Payroll accounting and payroll tax reconciliation Advanced Excel; ERP/accounting software experience Able to work on-site in Ontario, CA 4 days/week Preferred CPA (active or inactive) Aerospace & defense or regulated manufacturing Multi-entity or PE-backed close Sage 50, Alliance, Fixed Asset Pro, TriNet Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, disability, FSA/HSA, commuter benefits, EAP and voluntary plans (through TriNet).
