Seasonal Shipping & Warehouse Specialist

The Shipping & Warehouse Specialist plays an essential role in supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring accurate, timely fulfillment of customer orders at Winters Recreation. This seasonal position typically runs October through February, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Attention to detail, organization, and dependability are critical to success in this role. The primary responsibility is reviewing customer order files, accurately selecting the correct parts and quantities from inventory, carefully packaging merchandise, and preparing shipments for delivery. Each order must be verified for accuracy, proper labeling, and secure packaging to ensure customers receive the correct products in excellent condition. Additional responsibilities include restocking inventory shelves, maintaining accurate bin locations, identifying and communicating low inventory levels, monitoring shipping supplies, and assisting with receiving and inventory organization. This position may also support the Parts, Inventory, and E-Commerce departments with inventory counts, scanning, bin audits, special projects, and ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills, effective communication, and a willingness to learn inventory and shipping systems are important. Candidates must be comfortable working independently while contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace. Success requires accountability, consistent follow-through, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The ability to recognize discrepancies, ask questions, and proactively communicate concerns is essential to preventing shipping errors and maintaining customer satisfaction.
