Seasonal Retail Sales Associate – K-Beauty Pop-Up at Hudson Yards

Overview Seasonal Store Associate — Shinsegae Hyperground K-Beauty Pop-Up (New York City) Shinsegae Hyperground is a global platform operated by Shinsegae Group, one of Korea's largest and most prestigious department store conglomerates. Established to introduce distinguished Korean brands to an international audience, Shinsegae Hyperground will present its first Korean beauty and wellness pop-up in New York City this fall. We are currently seeking local staff to join us for a three-month engagement at our Hudson Yards location and the adjacent outdoor space near The Vessel, in partnership with some of the most highly regarded K-Beauty brands in the industry. Employment Type: Temporary, Part-Time (W-2 Employee) Number of Positions: 9–12 Employment Period: October 1 – December 31, 2026 (3 month) Pop-up Store Location: 20 Hudson Yards, New York, NY(outdoor pavilion adjacent to The Vessel) Weekly Hours: Approximately 24 hours (Store Hours: Monday–Saturday, 10:00 AM–9:00 PM; Sunday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM) *Scheduling will be arranged with consideration for each associate's availability; however, please note that evening and weekend shifts are required in accordance with standard retail operations. Responsibilities Opening Event (October 1) Provide on-site support for event operations, including guest flow management and beverage service Store Operations (October–December) Greet and assist customers, and provide product information Support sales transactions and checkout procedures Maintain store presentation, including product displays, testers, and fixtures Assist with inventory management and opening/closing procedures Qualifications No specific educational background or prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply Ability to provide customer service in English Eligibility to work in the United States (including valid work authorization such as OPT) Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Genuine interest in the beauty and K-Beauty industry, with a strong aptitude for customer interaction Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of professional responsibility Preferred Qualifications Prior sales experience in cosmetics retail, specialty boutiques, or pop-up environments Experience providing makeup or skincare consultations Proficiency in languages in addition to English A positive, enthusiastic disposition combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills Availability to commit to the full duration of the pop-up engagement Benefits Snacks and beverages provided during shifts Employee discount program Pay: $17.00 per hour Benefits: Store discount Language: English (Required) Ability to Commute: New York, NY 10001 (Required) Work Location: In person
