Seasonal Package Handler

Responsibilities Load and unload packages using material handling equipment such as forklifts and manual lifting techniques to ensure safe and efficient handling. Sort shipments accurately according to destination, size, and weight, utilizing shipment sorting procedures. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and automatic inserting machines to facilitate shipment processing. Assist with mail distribution, mail processing, and data entry tasks to support administrative functions. Maintain organization within the warehouse by filing documents, managing inventory records, and ensuring proper storage of materials. Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing packages for dispatch and verifying incoming shipments against delivery documentation. Perform outdoor work as needed, including outdoor package handling and yard organization, maintaining safety standards at all times. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate sorting, filing, and data entry. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout the shift. Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and inventory management. Excellent customer service skills for interacting with team members and external partners when necessary. Experience with Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and communication purposes. Outdoor work experience is advantageous; flexibility to work in various environments is required.
