Seasonal Morning Delivery Driver Help keep our holiday market booths stocked and ready for a busy season! The Capital Candy Jar is looking for a dependable seasonal delivery driver to transport inventory and dishes between our Capitol Hill store and our booths at the Downtown Holiday Market and the DC Holiday Market at Dupont Circle. Schedule & Pay Dates: November 12–December 23, 2026 Hours: Every day, 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m., including weekends Pay: $20 per hour, plus a daily mileage allowance Contract type: Seasonal 1099 independent contractor Responsibilities Pick up inventory and clean dishes from our Capitol Hill store. Load, transport, and unload deliveries at The Downtown holiday market and Dupont Holiday Market booths. (Total route is just over 9 miles). Collect dirty dishes from both booths and return them to the store. Handle products carefully and keep clean dishes separate from dirty dishes. Communicate with manager to ensure deliveries are complete and on time. Follow traffic regulations, safe driving practices, and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Use mobile devices to review route details and record delivery information. Requirements Have your own reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance. Have sufficient vehicle space to transport inventory and dish containers. Be available every morning for the full November 12–December 23 season. Be able to load, unload, and carry boxes up to 30lbs Be punctual, organized, and comfortable driving in Washington, DC. Qualifications Delivery driver, courier, van driver, or other delivery driving experience is helpful; commercial driving or commercial truck driving experience is a plus. Able to perform manual handling, moving, and lifting as part of loading and unloading. Comfortable driving, following routes, using mobile devices, and applying safe lifting practices. Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 14.0 per week Work Location: In person
