Scrap Yard Operations Employee

Job Description This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that involves a combination of general yard labor, scrap metal processing, equipment operation, and moving trucks and trailers around our facility. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, and willing to do whatever is needed to keep daily yard operations running safely and efficiently. This is not a position where you will sit on equipment all day. We are looking for someone who takes pride in hard work, can operate equipment when needed, and is willing to jump in and help with all aspects of yard production. Primary Responsibilities Perform general yard labor, including sorting, separating, handling, and processing scrap metal. Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, skid steers, and other material-handling equipment as needed. Move, position, and organize trucks, trailers, and containers within the facility. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers. Support daily scrap processing and production operations. Help prepare and organize materials for shipment. Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain clean, organized, and safe working areas. Work alongside other yard employees to meet daily production goals.
