SAP S/4HANA Procurement Lead

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Procurement Lead to oversee direct and indirect procurement functions for a GROW with SAP implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in procurement processes and proven hands-on experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. This role requires someone who can lead client workshops, translate business requirements into functional solutions, make informed implementation decisions, and coordinate delivery activities with offshore teams. The position focuses on standard SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud procurement functionality . Experience with SAP Ariba or other third-party procurement platforms is not required. Key Responsibilities Own the functional procurement workstream covering direct and indirect purchasing throughout the implementation. Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate operational needs into SAP functional solutions. Lead requirement-gathering sessions, client workshops, and procurement process discussions. Advise clients on standard SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud procurement capabilities and fit-to-standard practices. Contribute to functional design, configuration decisions, and procurement implementation activities. Coordinate with offshore teams responsible for configuration, testing, and functional delivery. Review functional documentation and deliverables to ensure compliance with business requirements and SAP best practices. Identify process gaps and recommend solutions aligned with standard Public Cloud capabilities. Coordinate procurement-related integration requirements with other business functions. Monitor workstream progress, resolve functional issues, and communicate risks, dependencies, and delivery updates to stakeholders. Required Qualifications Strong functional expertise in direct and indirect procurement processes. Hands-on implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (GROW with SAP) . At least one completed full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation ; additional implementations are preferred. Proven ability to lead procurement workstreams and manage client-facing discussions independently. Good understanding of SAP procurement configuration and implementation processes. Experience collaborating with offshore delivery teams in a distributed project environment. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to take ownership of functional deliverables and drive workstream execution. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud procurement solutions in manufacturing or enterprise environments. Familiarity with standard SAP procurement functionality and fit-to-standard implementation methodologies. SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud certification is a plus but not mandatory. Important: Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation experience is essential. SAP Ariba and other external procurement tools are not required. Work Arrangement Location: Arlington / Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. Employment Type: Contract. Work Model: Primarily remote, with onsite attendance potentially required during the initial implementation phase. Candidates must be comfortable leading client discussions and coordinating with offshore delivery teams.
