Truck Sales Representative Franks Wholesale Florists, Inc. 5211 Merchandise Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46825 Full-time · In person The job This is a selling route, not a drop-off route. You drive a stocked 26-foot box truck to flower shops and sell bunches right off the truck: what is fresh today, what they are short on, and what they should add to the order. You also look for shops that are not buying from us and turn them into accounts. You work on your own most of the day. We teach the product, the truck, and how we sell. Box-truck experience is helpful, not required. What you will do Sell fresh bunches and supplies directly from the truck Grow existing accounts with add-on sales and standing orders Find and open new wholesale accounts Take orders by phone and text between stops Know the product and recommend what is moving Handle questions and product concerns on the spot Load and organize freight up to 40 lbs, and keep the truck clean and ready to sell from Invoice and take payment on a company tablet Schedule Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Generally 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. 30–40 hours a week Tuesday will be added once the route is built out No evenings, no holidays, and no weekends except if Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend Home every day Flexible days off with notice Pay $18.00 per hour while you train $18.00 per hour plus commission once you are on the route Overtime when earned Reviewed every 120 days for a raise based on sales, new accounts, attendance, and added responsibility Benefits Paid training Employee discount Paid holidays after 90 days Medical insurance with cost sharing, and HSA, after 90 days One week paid vacation and three paid sick days after one year Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and a clean enough record to be insured Comfortable selling face to face and by phone Able to load up to 40 lbs Reliable and presentable on the route Flower experience is a plus. The willingness to sell is required.
