Sales Representative

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Used Auto Parts Sales Representative to work at the front counter of our auto recycling and used parts operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, understands vehicles and parts, and can confidently assist customers both in person and over the phone. The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying customer needs, locating compatible parts using our inventory and interchange system, and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist customers at the counter with locating and purchasing used auto parts Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding part availability, pricing, and compatibility Use inventory management and interchange software to accurately identify parts and determine vehicle compatibility across makes and models Explain part condition, fitment, and return policies clearly and professionally Process sales transactions, invoices, and payments accurately Work directly with yard and warehouse staff to confirm part availability and coordinate order fulfillment Maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter area Build positive relationships with repeat customers, repair shops, and vendors Handle customer concerns or issues calmly and professionally Qualifications Prior experience in auto parts sales, automotive repair, or a related field is preferred Strong knowledge of vehicles, parts, and basic automotive terminology Comfortable using computer systems, inventory software, and interchange databases (training provided) Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented What We’re Looking For Someone who is friendly, confident, and professional when dealing with customers A team player who can also work independently at the counter Someone who takes pride in helping customers find the right part the first time Work Environment Fast-paced used auto parts and recycling facility Daily interaction with customers, repair shops, and internal staff Mix of desk, counter, and light coordination with yard operations Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 46.0 per week Work Location: In person
