Instead, you’ll work across multiple areas of the company — supporting our sales team, assisting customers, taking orders, helping manage our e-commerce business, merchandising the showroom, supporting marketing and social media, maintaining inventory, entering purchase orders, generating reports, and helping keep day-to-day operations moving. About NY Floral Supply NY Floral Supply is a wholesale flower and floral supply company serving professional florists, event designers, wedding professionals, and other creative businesses throughout Long Island and the NYC area. Our Farmingdale location combines a wholesale showroom, fresh flower market, warehouse, sales office, and e-commerce operation under one roof. We source fresh flowers from around the world and carry a large selection of floral supplies, containers, ribbons, mechanics, event products, and specialty items used by floral and event professionals. We are continuing to expand both our in-person and online business and are looking for someone who is excited to be part of that growth. A Role Where You Can Learn the Whole Business This position sits at the intersection of: Sales Customer service E-commerce Marketing Merchandising Inventory management Purchasing Operations You’ll work closely with our sales and management team and gain hands-on exposure to how these different parts of the business work together. One part of your day might involve helping the sales team answer calls and enter customer orders. Later, you could be setting up a new customer on our e-commerce platform, updating an online product, building a new showroom display, receiving merchandise, entering a purchase order, generating a sales report, or helping create content for social media. When the showroom gets busy, you’ll help customers and process purchases. When orders need to be prepared, you may help pick and organize them. When new merchandise arrives, you’ll help receive it and make sure our inventory stays accurate. This is a role for someone who enjoys learning new things and becoming increasingly capable over time. What You’ll Be DoingSales & Customer Support Assist our sales team with incoming customer calls Take and enter customer orders accurately Assist with special flower and supply orders Help customers identify products, colors, quantities, sizes, and alternatives Follow up on customer requests when appropriate Assist walk-in customers throughout the showroom Build strong relationships with repeat customers Ring up purchases and process transactions Help prepare quotes, orders, and customer information Support general sales administration Learn our products so you can increasingly make informed recommendations Special Orders A meaningful part of this role will be helping customers source products that may not currently be available in the showroom. You’ll learn how to: Take detailed flower and supply orders Understand flower varieties, colors, stem lengths, quantities, and availability Communicate special requests to our sales and purchasing teams Help identify appropriate substitutions when necessary Track orders from request through pickup or delivery Assist customers in finding specialty products and solutions Floral experience is not required.
