Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting pet products, supplies, and accessories tailored to their needs Conduct engaging product demonstrations and provide detailed information about pet care items, including food, toys, and health products Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and attention to detail Maintain organized merchandising displays to highlight featured products and ensure the store remains inviting and well-stocked Offer knowledgeable advice on pet nutrition, grooming, and general care to enhance customer satisfaction Upsell complementary products by identifying customer needs and promoting relevant items to increase sales opportunities Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about store hours, product availability, or directing calls appropriately Support inventory management through stock replenishment and accurate record keeping of sales transactions lifting up to 40lbs Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for pets is essential!
