Driver / Operator Trainer Driver / Operator Trainer Transdev in Plattsburgh , N.Y. is hiring a Driver/Operator Trainer to facilitate classroom and behind-the-wheel training to drivers as well as overseeing the safety programs at this location. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Qualifications ValidClassAorBCDLwithPassengerEndorsementsforaminimumof2years. Minimum2years'experiencedrivingaCommercialMotorVehicle(CMV) 1to3yearstransportation&safetyexperience. Knowledgeoffederalandstatesafetyrulesandregulations. Mustbeabletoworkshiftsorflexibleworkschedulesasneeded. SubjecttoaDOTdrugtestingandphysicalifapplicable.DOTRegulation49CFRPart40doesnot authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Workoutsideinvaryingtemperature,weather,andhumidityconditions-100%ofthejobisperformed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sitforextendedperiods(upto6–8hoursperday);frequentlywalkforlongdistancesandonpossible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Pushandpullobjectsupto 30 pounds,occasionallythroughouttheworkday;liftmaterialweighingupto 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstandheavytrafficareaswhileperformingthedutiesofthejob;tolerateexposuretoconsiderable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
