Purchasing Agent/Buyer

Title: Purchasing Agent/Buyer Supervisor: Supply Chain Manager Full-Time Nonexempt Description Will oversee the procurement and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements. Strategically source and purchase material, supplies and equipment to offer the best value for Plasma Processes. Identify and communicate any continuous improvements in purchasing process. Assist in confirming inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines Works with shipping department to validate schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment. Help Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges. Motivated, teamoriented, and creative. Excellent oral and written skills. Monitor short and longterm material requirements needs by using GSS to manage and action daily ERP messages. Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and planning skills Three to Five years of experience in related area required Bachelor’s degree Preferred Global Shop Solutions software experience preferred ERP Experience Physical Requirements Can tolerate a combination of prolonged periods standing, bending, and stretching, or sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
