Route Sales Driver

Duties Safely operate commercial trucks and vehicles to deliver products along designated routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Manage merchandise loading, unloading, and merchandising at retail stores, ensuring proper presentation and stock levels. Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel through effective client communication and excellent customer service. Upsell products by identifying customer needs and offering suitable solutions to increase sales volume. Use organizational skills to plan efficient routes, track deliveries, and complete all necessary documentation accurately. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly. Demonstrate proficiency in pricing strategies and basic math for accurate transactions and inventory management. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices regularly. Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus. Knowledge of route driving, upselling techniques, and customer relationship building. Familiarity with DOT regulations, heavy lifting procedures, and automobile transportation standards. Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and documentation efficiently.
