Lapels Cleaners is looking for energetic, outgoing Route Sales & Customer Growth Specialist — Pickup & Delivery ! Lapels Dry Cleaners of Houma helps people look better than their best when it really counts. We provide dry cleaning, laundry, wash-dry-fold, household textile care, and convenient pickup and delivery. Pay: $15–$20 per hour, plus monthly performance incentives. Expected total earnings of approximately $40,000–$47,000 per year for a full-time employee, based on route growth and customer retention. Performance incentives are on completed paid orders, retained customers, and profitable route growth. About the role We’re looking for a dependable, outgoing person who enjoys helping customers and building relationships. You’ll serve residential and business customers on an assigned pickup and delivery route while helping grow that route with new customers and local business accounts. This is a hands-on position. It combines safe, accurate delivery with customer care and practical sales. We’ll train you on our services, systems, and customer standards. What you’ll do Pick up and deliver garments and other approved textile orders safely, accurately, and on schedule. Scan or record orders at pickup, delivery, and facility handoff so each order can be tracked. Follow each customer’s delivery instructions and protect garments while they are in your care. Communicate pickup details, special requests, garment concerns, and service issues to the Lapels team. Welcome new customers, explain our services and route schedule, and help them get started. Build relationships with households, offices, and local businesses near existing route areas. Identify potential customers and business accounts, follow up on leads, and help turn them into active customers. Introduce customers to relevant services such as dry cleaning, laundered shirts, wash-dry-fold, and household textile care. Keep customer and route information current in our system. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and report safety, vehicle, or route issues promptly. Work with the store and production team so customer commitments match what we can deliver. What we’re looking for A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Dependability, good judgment, and care when handling customers’ property. Friendly, professional communication and a service-minded approach. Comfort using a smartphone or tablet to follow routes and update order information. Strong organization and the ability to work independently while staying connected with the team. Interest in customer relationships and sales. Previous route, delivery, retail, hospitality, or sales experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, which will be reviewed with candidates. How success is measured Accurate, on-time pickups and deliveries.
