Route Driver

Summary/Objective The Route Driver is responsible for the safe, secure, and timely transportation of materials designated for destruction. This role ensures proper handling, loading, and unloading of materials while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining strict confidentiality standards. Major Work Duties Essential Job Functions Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and assigned routes Load and unload materials securely at customer and facility locations Provide professional, courteous service to internal and external customers Complete daily vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including route logs and service records Ensure vehicle cleanliness and organization (interior and exterior as assigned) Clean and maintain collection bins and cabinets at customer sites and facilities Adhere to company confidentiality policies regarding all materials handled Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Wear required uniform and identification while on duty Qualifications Ability to safely operate a box truck Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a vehicle for the majority of the day. This role has long periods of sitting. Physical Demands Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 40 pounds Ability to sit for extended periods Successful completion of: Drug and alcohol screening Background checks (employment and felony) Physical examination (including mobility and vision testing) Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Customer service experience. Route driving experience preferred.
