Roll Off Driver

Truck Driver We are looking for a motivated truck driver WHO WANTS TO WORK that can pull a 40 foot trailer with at least 1 year of current experience that carries a Class A manual license to serve our clientele in a professional, safe and timely manner. This is a long term position. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Transport metal materials over land to one location and deliver to one site. Inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily and complete log report. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods using a tablet as well and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver truck into loading or unloading positions. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations immediately. Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license Must be able to pass DOT compliance drug screening.
