About beRobox beRobox designs and builds robotic palletizing cells in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and supports customers across North America. We’re a growing team that values agility, commitment and fun — and we’re looking for our first field technician based in the U.S. The Role As our Robotic Field Technician, you’ll be the face of beRobox for our U.S. customers. You’ll travel to customer sites to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot our robotic cells, and provide remote support whenever an issue can be solved without a trip. You’ll work independently in the field while staying closely connected to our support, engineering and production teams in Sherbrooke. What You’ll Do Install and commission robotic cells at customer sites, on schedule and in line with quality and safety standards Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment reliable and running Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly, on site or remotely, to minimize customer downtime Train customer operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance Deliver a professional, clear and reassuring service experience Document every service call and share technical feedback to help improve our product What You Bring Technical diploma or associate degree in electromechanics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, automation, robotics or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 2–3+ years of experience as a field service technician, in technical service or in industrial maintenance Hands-on experience with industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa or others) Solid knowledge of industrial electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems; able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Knowledge of industrial safety practices (lockout/tagout, machine safety) Fluent in English; working knowledge of French is a plus Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Legally authorized to work in the U.S., with a valid passport for travel to Canada Nice to Have Experience with palletizing, material handling or conveyor systems Experience commissioning automated equipment Who You Are A strong troubleshooter who stays calm under pressure Self-reliant and accountable when working alone in the field A clear, professional communicator with customers Organized and detail-oriented, especially with documentation and travel planning Adaptable to the unexpected and to new environments A team player who shares knowledge, even remotely Always safety-first, for yourself and others Working Conditions Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week) Home-based in the Chicago area between trips (a local beRobox base is planned) Frequent travel, mainly within the U.S. (approx. 50–70%), including multi-day trips during installations Variable schedule based on customer needs; occasional evenings or weekends during production shutdowns Possible participation in an on-call rotation for remote support Industrial settings (plants, warehouses, distribution centers) requiring PPE Physical work: lifting, standing for long periods, working at heights or in confined spaces Occasional trips to Sherbrooke, Quebec, for training and team collaboration Interested?
