The Role The Returns & Receiving Clerk is the first stop for everything coming back into the building: customer returns, exchanges, and repair garments, plus finished goods arriving from our factory. We are looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of the returns queue, and flags problems early. Training is provided, and the role will grow with the company, with room to take on more responsibility across warehouse and inventory operations. Responsibilities Own returns: open each return the day it arrives, record the reason, grade the item by our written rule, and restock or scrap it Release refunds to the customer team within one working day of receipt Process exchanges within one working day, including the returns-partner flow Receive finished goods from the factory, count and locate them, and update online store inventory within one working day Report any inventory discrepancy to the inventory owner Log repairs on arrival (style, received date, ticket number), then tag them and place them in the repair rack, first in, first out Inspect repair garments within two working days of receipt and log the inspection (after training) Support rolling cycle counts and log variances Back up the daily order report and packing as needed Approve repairs under the written rule and escalate exceptions (once the rule is in place) Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe Qualifications High school diploma or GED 0-1 year in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar hands-on role (part-time or seasonal work counts) Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through Strong attention to detail with counts, labels, and records Able to follow a written standard and apply it consistently Clear, timely communication Comfortable learning web-based tools such as spreadsheets, an e-commerce admin, and a tracking system Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Able to operate a pallet jack, or willing to learn Reliable transportation to Amesbury, MA Nice to have Experience in e-commerce fulfillment Experience processing returns or repairs Forklift certification or OSHA safety training Experience with an inventory or order-management systems Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
