Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selections, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills in a dynamic retail environment, including grocery store settings, with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience for all customers. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse clientele. The position involves handling transactions efficiently using POS systems and maintaining an organized store environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections Operate POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising setups Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly Ensure proper phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, supporting a collaborative work environment Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store or similar retail environments Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math skills Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable Demonstrated ability to upsell products and perform product demonstrations effectively Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette background Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
